As I continue my journey through the Dark Hunter Series, I read the anthology "Dragonswan" thirdly in my list. Before this story, it was suggested to read "The Beginning", which is only readable online. "The Beginning" is a story about Acheron, the Daimon hunter and Artemis, a creator of Dark Hunters, who apparently will fight the Daimon alongside Acheron, much to his dismay. I am not sure why this is the second story recommended to read on Sherrilyn's site, but I did it, as the third suggested read is "Dragonswan", not about Acheron at all.
It seems "Dragonswan" is an introduction to Sebastian, a dragon slayer and his "mate", Channon (his dragonswan). More steamy stuff happening here, but in this story , we are introduced to the world of Dragons, and Dragon slayers, as well as the evil Katagaria all taking place in Saxon England. Well, most of it , I guess. There is some time travel allowed at the dawn of a full moon, and things of that sort, of course. How else to get a modern bride...errr "mate".
We get some history about Sebastian's life here, as well as how he and Channon, come to be, but I am guessing, there will be a bigger story ahead in the Dark Hunter books ,as this seems quite like an introduction.
